Most coaches aren’t struggling because they can’t make money.
They’re struggling because they’re leaking it.
Not in obvious ways like spending too much on software or running ads that don’t convert…
But in the invisible ways… the ones that feel like normal business decisions (but are draining sales before they ever happen.)
This morning, I decided to talk to you a little more about the biggest money leaks I see over, and over again.
1. Selling too many offers.
I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “Sell more offers, more people will buy”
But what actually happens?
Your audience is confused.
They don’t know what to buy first.
They assume they need to be at a certain level before buying your bigger program.
They wait until they “figure it out” (which means they never buy again.
I cannot stress to you enough that the quickest way to building a 7 figure business is…
1x Target Market.
1x Sales System
1x Lead Source
1x Offer
1x Year
I got this model originally from Clay Collins, the founder of Lead Pages. He designed the 5 x 1 model that I have found really helpful over my journey as an entrepreneur.
If you ever feel like you’re constantly launching new things, but struggling with sales… The answer is NOT more offers.
It’s making ONE offer so good that people feel silly saying no!
2. Underpricing to make sales “easier”
Say it to the people at the back: Lowering your price does NOT make an easier purchasing decision.
No matter the price point, a segment of your market will always say that they can’t afford it.
Whether at $1 (for reals, we’ve heard it)… or at $50k… and everything in between!
In fact, if you’re selling a $997 value program for just $37, you’ll have to sell 27 people before you make the same amount.
(And yes, I did the math!)
I’ve seen the same exact conversion rate on a $1500 offer and a $12k offer.
And there’s one thing I know for certain from that: It’s NEVER the price of your offer.
It’s your client’s belief in their own ability to make their investment in your offer work.
Which means the real work isn’t lowering your prices… It’s selling the transformation so well that the price doesn’t matter.
Because people buy when the value of your offer outweighs their fears and objections.
Keep that in mind!
3. Not training your people to be ready.
If you’ve been hearing “I love this so much, but I’ll join later…”
Or “When does your program open next time?”
You’re letting your audience stay in the waiting room.
And waiting? It turns to never.
You’ve got to train your people with breadcrumbs.
You’ve got constantly interrupt their patterns and show them:
A. Why waiting is costing them
B. How the longer they hesitate, the harder their problems get
C. What the cost of staying stuck is (and how it’s far greater than the cost of moving forward)
Because no one is “waiting” to buy.
You’ve got to give them a reason to move now.
And there you have it!
If you’re tired of leaving money on the table, and want to fix the leaks in your business, you’ve got to plug the holes in these 3 things first.
I’ll be talking more about what that could look like inside the Sold Out Coaching System.
We begin real soon, and I’d love to see you there.
