I was blown away

I came to speak at a Mastermind event in Toronto hosted by Jillian Clarke this weekend. I’ve gotta admit, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I went into the event expecting to show up as the expert and give a tonne of value. But what happened next, blew my mind.

Not only did I make lifelong connections, but I learned so much from the other ladies including Susie Romas, Alyssa Gavinski, Tepsii Thendo, Tsipa Swan and Yasemin Inal.

Sure we talked copy, high performance, mindset, building tribes and branding, but it was so much more than that. Each of us had a story, perspective and a treasure chest of experience and know-how to share with the rest. There were tears, breakthroughs and ah ha moments that just don’t happen without face to face connection.

It reminded me just how impactful face to face can be. Thriving and being uplifted in the presence of people who get it. The ones who understand life as an entrepreneur (it’s highs and lows) and believe there are no limitations beyond themselves.

I’m on the train headed to London, Ontario to meet my husband and head into a weekend full of wedding celebrations. I’ll be spending time with family and won’t be on social media much until next week.

Until then, I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am that you chose to have me in your inbox.

It’s been on my heart lately to host an event and I thought I should check in with you? Would you love to meet in person in sunny California? Hit reply and let me know.

Blessings,

Why “being ready” is keeping you stuck

The less I do the more I make

The first time I heard the phrase, “Working hard is lazy thinking” every ounce of my body was ready to argue against it to death. But before I opened my mouth, I thought what if that were true? And does that mean I’m a lazy thinker? I mean c’mon, you’ve got to step up...
