A Facebook group is a lot like a living room.
When people walk in, they instantly feel the vibe.
Is this a space where people are laughing? Learning? Supporting each other?
Or is it a space where everyone stares at the floor and hopes someone else talks first?
Each Facebook Group member has specific roles, let me know what you think you are!
1. The Cheerleader.
This is the person who lifts the energy.
They’re the first to drop a “you’ve got this!” comment or celebrate someone’s win.
Their presence makes the group feel supportive, safe, and encouraging, like you’ve got someone rooting for you.
2. The Teacher.
They bring value through knowledge.
Whether it’s tips, resources, or lessons learned, they create posts that help others walk away better than they came.
They’re the first to respond whenever anyone has a question, and guides people to the answer.
3. The Connector.
This role thrives on introductions.
They tag people into conversations, bridge members with similar challenges, and make sure no one feels left out.
The connector builds relationships that go beyond the group itself.
4. The Challenger.
They don’t just nod along… they push people deeper.
They ask the bold questions, offer constructive feedback, and spark conversations that move beyond the surface.
Challengers prevent the group from getting stale or shallow.
Now, here’s the secret: in a smaller group, you’ll play all four roles yourself.
But as the group grows, members will naturally step into these roles too.
When all four roles are present, the group feels alive.
When one is missing, the energy shifts.
Too much teaching without cheerleading feels heavy. Too much cheerleading without challenge feels fluffy. Balance is the magic.
So ask yourself: which role do you naturally play, and which one do you need to be more intentional about?
Keep your eyes peeled, I’ll be sharing how to activate these roles in your own group soon.
