The One Question That Changed Everything For Me In Business

A few years ago, I started asking myself one question at the start of every single day:

Who can I make a difference for today?

And it changed a lot on my outlook in business.

It wasn’t some profound business strategy…

Just a simple question, that is impossible to overthink.

1 person.

Every day.

That was the whole goal.

I committed to not finishing my day until I was satisfied that I accomplished this.

That didn’t mean I did a live and shared value to a group.

It meant that I directly impacted someone that day.

I helped ____(name)

to get/have ____(result/win/breakthrough)

The fun part was being open to how I could do this…

Because some days it looked like a voice note I sent to someone who was struggling.

Some days it was a reply to a comment that turned into a real conversation.

Some days it was sharing a resource with someone who didn’t even ask.

The “what” didn’t matter. The impact did more.

Here’s the math I want you to sit with for a second:

One person a day. 365 days a year.

That’s 365 humans whose life or business you touched in a meaningful way.

365 people who remember how you made them feel.

365 people who, when your name comes up, say “she’s the real deal.”

You don’t need to chase followers.

You need to go make a difference for someone today.

And here’s the part that took me a while to really internalize:

It’s none of your business whether that person buys from you.

That’s not the point.

The point is this:

Impact out equals income in.

I think of it like a goodwill bank account.

Every time you genuinely help someone (with no agenda, no strings, no expectation) you make a deposit.

And deposits compound.

If you feel like you’re not withdrawing what you want right now, stop asking “what’s wrong with my strategy?”

Start asking: “Have I made enough deposits?

And are my deposits actually valuable in the eyes of the people I’m trying to serve?”

That second part matters.

Because I’ve done lives with zero attendees.

Sent hundreds of DMs with zero replies.

Launched offers that made zero dollars.

Ran promotions that landed with a thud.

And every single time, I had a choice.

Judge the tactic. Judge the audience. Or get curious.

I learned to choose curious.

How else can I make a difference for someone today?

Lack of response isn’t rejection.

It’s feedback that you haven’t created enough value for that specific person yet.

If you DMed 20 people this week and heard nothing back, don’t spiral.

Ask better questions:

What’s actually valuable in their eyes… and not just mine?

How would I even know when I’ve added value?

What’s one different way I could show up for someone today?

And if you hit a wall and land in “I don’t know”, which will happen, start smaller:

What DO I understand right now?

What IS clear?

What DO I know how to do?

What actually sounds fun?

Start there. That’s enough.

Because you build your dream by helping others build theirs.

Go make a difference for one person today.

Just one.

I had no idea this would happen…

I hung up the phone. …and smiled. I couldn’t believe what I just heard. A few weeks ago, a new client that just joined one of my programs was having a hard time. Her confidence was shot. She was desperate to make money. But all she heard were crickets and “I can’t...

Is your brand TOO relatable?

You look at your comment section and it’s flooded with… “OMG this is fire!!!” “Love your content always” “Wow this blew my mind!” But yet people are still not buying.. Why? If people constantly tell you how much they love your content and are constantly engaging...

You Don’t See Your Growth Because You Don’t Track It

One of my favorite things I tell my new clients is to stand in front of a mirror and record themselves on a video. Not for content, and it’s definitely not something you need to post anywhere. But, this is something you do privately. For your own accountability and...
