PART TWO: Truth or Lie – The Word on the Street About Facebook Groups

Yesterday we talked about the myth that it will take WAY TOO MUCH time to host your own Facebook Group. If you missed it, you can read it here.

Today we’re diving into

PERFECTION

MYTH #2 – I must have it all together first before I start my Facebook Group

“I need to have my message and offers all figured out first.”

“I’ve got to build my email list first.”

“I can’t move forward and take action without some level of clarity.”

THIS, is a big one. Especially for driven, ambitious go getters.

You’re an achiever.

You want to do your best.

You don’t settle for mediocrity…

Am I right?

But the truth is, you don’t need to have it all figured out yet before you start your own Facebook Group.

Clarity comes from ACTION.

Don’t get caught in the trap of comparing your beginning to someone else’s end.

The online space is flooded with #brags of wins and highlight reals of wins. You don’t often see the full behind the scenes trials and errors that got them there.

And that is a recipe for feeling less than.

It also feeds the need to be perfect. Or look as though you’ve got it all together.

Truth is that clarity on your perfect message, your compelling offer and your stand out factor all come into sight once you get started.

You don’t need the perfect brand or a high end website before you start a Facebook group.

People buy from people they know, like and trust and building your Facebook group will give you behind the scenes access to exactly what you get excited talking about, what people are drawn to you for and the inside scoop as to what your target market wants and needs, NOW!

There’s really no better place to conduct market research on your offers and soon-to-be sold out programs than in your own group, with your own audience, not somebody else’s.

You don’t have the same budget and manpower that large companies have to invest heavily into their market research. But you do have an advantage. A place for free, direct insight into your buyers. Use it!

Which leads me to the big question, “What do I do first and next and in which order…?”

I’ll explain this to you tomorrow in Part 3.
