Let’s have some fun today! Which would you prefer?
- 10,000 members in your Facebook group who are the wrong people, who don’t know who you are or how you can help them.
- 500 members in your Facebook group who are your ideal clients, aligned with your vision, and are ready to buy.
Chances are, you picked B!
You’re better off having a smaller audience with the right people versus having a bigger audience of the wrong people.
Because guess what happens if you build an audience with the wrong people?
When they don’t buy or when they’re not engaging and connecting with you, it’s gonna make you feel like you’re doing everything wrong.
As if you’re speaking to a massive crowd with earbuds plugged in, not listening to a word you are saying!
Do you ever catch yourself saying this about your people?
… “Why would they buy from me over everyone else?”
… “Why is it so hard for them to see that they need me?”
… “What am I missing? Why is (insert name of competitor) selling out their offers and I am not?”
These are tell-tale signs that you’ve built the wrong audience.
The right audience will tell you exactly what they want from you.
They will be looking for it.
They will be looking forward to you making an offer because they know you can help them.
In the early stages of my business, I would be hanging out in other people’s Facebook Groups that were catered to my “ideal” audience.
I was always trying to learn what they wanted and what they were looking for.
I thought I could dial in my right audience by being in someone else’s playground.
But soon, I realized that if I was hanging around in other people’s spaces, I wasn’t tapping into my own audience and what they wanted!
So I tested and tweaked.
I tried new things. Well….kind of a lot of things. *face palm*
And I found the quickest way to grow an audience of buyers was through my own Facebook Group.
Because I realized not every lead was created equal.
When you’ve got a Facebook group running effectively for you, it’s a game-changer
It gives you real-time feedback and gives you a container to create real connections with your members.
